Remove the handle of the faucet first.

There will be a plug on the handle of the faucet. Use a letter to pry off the plug; You will see a hole, insert a straight line into the hole, and loosen the screw that fixes the handle inside. No need to twist too much, just 5-6 turns. Then, pull the handle out with force.

Let&s talk about unscrewing the cover on the faucet again. It is usually quite tight. To increase friction, cover it with a damp towel and twist it counterclockwise.

Remove the copper cap pressed onto the valve core. Use an adjustable wrench to unscrew the copper cap on the valve core and remove it. You will see significant cracks on the valve core, and the leakage of the faucet is caused by these cracks.

Check and clean the scale inside the faucet. Then install the newly purchased valve core device.
