Compared to past faucets, current faucets are more complex and varied. Therefore, in order to understand the structure and principle of faucets, it is even more important to master and understand the faucet structure diagram. The faucet structure diagram shows us the various components of the faucet so that we can have a better understanding, otherwise we wouldn&t even know what&s inside the faucet.
We can see that the structural diagram of the basin is still very messy. It is a single ceramic valve core surface, mainly composed of a handle, valve core, inlet braided pipe, and device accessories. It also includes some sealing rings, screws, and so on.
The working principle of ceramic valve core:
Under normal circumstances, the bottom of a ceramic valve core is composed of three holes, with one hole for cold water inlet and outlet, the other for hot water inlet and outlet, and the remaining hole for internal water outlet of the valve core.
The faucet valve core has sealing rings for both the cold and hot holes to ensure a sealed condition with the main body. After connecting the cold and hot water inlet pipes to the main body, it is ensured that the hot water and cold water pipes correspond one-to-one with the two holes of the valve core. The valve core primarily controls the opening and closing status of the two holes, relying on the movement of ceramic pieces for operation. In areas with poor water quality, filters can be installed to filter out impurities, while also avoiding the potential harm of impurities to ceramic valve cores. There are two directions for the installation of the filter screen: at the inlet and at the outlet.
Due to the variety and classification of faucets, there are significant differences in the planning of different types of faucets, resulting in different faucet structure diagrams. So we need to first recognize the types of faucets. Generally, the types of faucets we use in daily life include: single link faucets, double link faucets, and triple link faucets. According to the different handles, they can also be divided into single handle and double handle faucets. These different faucets have significant differences in the faucet structure diagram, so we need to first classify them before understanding the relevant faucet structure diagram. Let&s take the bathtub faucet as an example for a brief explanation.
Bathtub faucet
The bathtub faucet uses an S-shift to allow water to enter, but it still needs to enter the valve core first, and then flow into the main body through the valve core. Water enters the water hole on the left side of the commutator and passes through the commutator to achieve the function of turning on and off the water flow. The commutator achieves the function of switching between the internal bubbler and the shower channel of the main body through the cooperation between the sealing ring and the main body. Note that in the commutator we see, it should be symmetrical, as asymmetry can lead to water leakage.
