We often find that the faucet still leaks even after being turned off, and it may be from the faucet outlet or the joint. What should I do if the faucet leaks? In fact, the structure of the faucet is very simple, and the problem of water leakage can be solved by replacing the sealing gasket such as the axial gasket or triangular sealing gasket inside the faucet. Below are four common ways to deal with water leaks.
Three Common Leakage Conditions
1. The element of water leakage at the outlet is due to the wear and tear of the axial gasket inside the faucet. Use pliers to loosen and remove the pressure cap bolt, then use a clamp to remove the shaft gasket and replace it with a new one.
2. The leakage element in the lower gap of the faucet bolt is caused by the wear of the triangular sealing gasket inside the pressure cover. You can loosen the screw and remove the bolt head, then loosen the cover and remove it. Then, take out the triangular seal on the inside of the cover and replace it with a new one.
3. Accepting water leakage at the joint: Generally, the cap nut is loose. At this time, you can tighten the cap nut from the beginning or replace it with a new U-shaped sealing gasket.
Four processing methods
For the repair of water leakage at the faucet joint, the factors that may cause water leakage are nothing more than the damage to the sealing tape that fixes the faucet. Therefore, simply use pliers to remove the faucet and roll new waterproof tape from the head at the fixed screw position. The following is the repair process:
Firstly, tighten the faucet and use pliers to rotate it counterclockwise to remove it.
Turn the threaded hole outward and wrap it 5-6 times clockwise with wind imprinted tape on some threads.
Check if the faucet is properly adjusted and tie it in clockwise direction with a water wrench.
After the equipment is completed, turn on the main switch and try to confess to see if there is still water leakage.
matters needing attention
If the faucet is found to have a decrease in water volume, it may be a leakage situation, because the sealing disk of the single gun faucet is stuck with sand and gravel. This situation is still the same as finding a repairman to disassemble the faucet and clean it up, but if the rubber pad is damaged, it needs to be replaced. Generally speaking, accurate use of a faucet refers to not rotating the faucet too tightly. The faucet gasket can maintain a lifespan of 7 to 8 years.
